The environment of the United Kingdom affects life in the country by air pollution. Air pollution is rated on a scale of 0 to 10 by the W.H.O., or the World Health Organization. Some parts of England on some nights reach 9 or 10 while big cities usually reach around 5, which is pretty bad. While most countries cause most of there own air pollution, the United Kingdom is different, in this case, dust from the Sahara is to blame for part of the problem, as the wind blows it from the Sahara and gets in the air in the UK. However, a big part of the air pollution is still caused by road transport and residential emissions. The people affect the environment of the United Kingdom by overfishing, the UK’s coasts are almost completely dead since no marine life exists there anymore. Another problem is the lack of grazing, without as many animals grazing the grassy lowlands of the UK, the once green and full of life grasslands are now turning brown and beginning to die with a lack of wildlife.
