Because of the altitude, it is very hard to have aerial transportation in Kyrgyzstan. About half of the population own a car or their own transportation. The other half uses public transportation which includes public buses and taxis. Until the 1900’s, camels were the most common way to get around.
Kyrgyzstan’s main exports are gold, cotton, wool, and garments. Their main export partners are Switzerland, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan. They made over 4 billion dollars in imports in 2012.

In the Ukraine public transportation is also used a lot.

It is interesting that camels were a common transportation mode for so long.
