The relative location: Turkey is located in the Middle East, a region of Southwestern Asia, in the Northern Hemisphere of the world. It is a bridge between the Middle East and Europe because it straddles Europe and Asia. It is bordered on the West by the Aegean Sea, on the Northwest by the Sea of Marmara, Greece and Bulgaria, on the North by the Black Sea, on the East by Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Iran, and on the South by Iraq, Syria, and the Mediterranean Sea.

Turkey’s location in the Middle East

Turkey is similar to the other countries in the Middle East because of its location in Asia. It’s semi-arid and Mediterranean climate is similar to some (parts of Iraq and Iran) but not all Middle Eastern countries. It is also similar to other countries in this region of the world because it’s main religion is Islam. As far as meals go, Turkey’s main meal of the day is lunch, just like other Middle Eastern countries.

Turkey has more differences than similarities with other Middle Eastern countries. Arabic is the main language of most of the countries in the Middle East. Turkey is different because it’s main language is Turkish. Turkey is also different from other countries in the Middle East because it has historical ties to both the European countries and the Middle East. Turkey is unique because it separates religion from government. It is religiously democratic in allowing people to worship as they choose. Lastly, Turkey is different from other Middle Eastern countries because it bridges Asia and Europe and it is bordered by three large bodies of water, the Black Sea, the Aegean Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea.
